2003 My career began in while I was studying fine art in Florence, Italy. An inspirational salon experience refocused my creativity toward hair.

2008-2020 I opened my first salon Garrett Markenson Coiffure.

2012- Professional educator with The Left Brain Group.A destination for independent education by providing our community with exceptional, accessible and transformative learning experiences.

2011 I created REVERIE haircare. All products are carefully handcrafted in California using botanical ingredients, ethically sourced from sustainable origins around the world. REVERIE has a strong commitment to sourcing the highest quality ingredients that are both natural and innovative. Transparency is key, and we choose to responsibly partner with organic, Fair Trade, EcoCert and small family farms across the globe. This commitment ensures only the highest quality ingredients are used and that these trades will continue to support families for generations to come.

2020 I opened Valley Studio. Focusing on integrating art as a part of my services and a safe place for stylist to grow and be mentor.

2022 Reforma : Disciplines of Hair Culture was published. A book to further the future of hairdressing. Available in print and digital.
